On Saturday, 28 June the well known Logie Durno flock of Bruce and Gregor Ingram held a female production sale consisting of 58 Charollais shearling ewes and 4 Charollais ewe lambs in Borderway Mart, Carlisle. Bids flew in for a 100% clearance rate.

The sale was topped by a powerful shearling ewe that sold for 4,000gns (€4,898) to Tom Newth of the Prestleigh flock in Somerset. The sale topper was sired by Iskeymeadow. The 58 shearling ewes sold to average an impressive £1,367 (€1,595).

The quality ewe lamb consignment was topped at 2,000gns (€2,450) for a Cavick Balenciaga daughter. She was purchased by Hannah Jackson of the Rigghead flock in Drumfries. The four ewe lambs averaged £1,628 (€1,899).
