The 49th year of the Westival programme launched with a diverse programme of events planned showcasing creativity and culture in the West of Ireland.

Taking place from 23 to 28 October, the festival programme includes a wide variety of performances from music, theatre and films to workshops and activities for families.

Pillow Queens take the headline spot with highlights across the weekend including John Spillane, Sunday’s Child Theatre, Maxine Peake and many more.

Coming into her third year with Westival, Festival Director Sarah Byrne says, “I am immensely proud as we present this year’s programme.

"As we look towards Westival’s 50-year celebration in 2025, we will begin the next chapter of the festival with a clear and bold direction that celebrates the vibrant, unexpected, and intimate culture of the region."

Along with this, they have announced a new three-year plan for Westival to celebre and support art in the West of Ireland.

Selected events will be ticketed, and are available online to book here.
