The latest Department of Agriculture scheme payments update for the week ending 30 June 2025 shows approximately €5.55m paid out under a number of schemes last week. A payment update has been added to the weekly publishing of payments for the Agri-Climate Rural Environment Scheme and this shows the highest payment sum of €3.74m and brings total payments under the scheme to €512.37m (see page 6 for more).
The next highest payment was under the Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Scheme (TAMS III) where €1,179,856 was paid. This brings the total sum of money paid out to date to €74.324m. The payment update shows 29,983 approvals issued under TAMS III to date.
Within this there have been 10,658 payment applications submitted and 8,852 of these paid.
There was also a smaller sum of €26,824 paid under TAMS II bringing the total payment amount to €465.228m. The number of approvals issued under TAMS II was 56,676 applications.
Of this number 37,828 have submitted payment claims showing the high drop off from applications to completion of works. Total of 37,659 applicants have received payment.
BISS and CRISS
Weekly payments under many area-based schemes such as the Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS), the Complementary Redistributive Income Support for Sustainability (CRISS), Eco Scheme and Areas of Natural Constraint (ANC) are common place.
Payments under BISS and CRISS totaled €159,683.79, bringing total payments to €846.99m paid to 119,602 applicants.
There was a higher payment of €204,449.01 under the Eco Scheme. This brings total payments to €308.14m paid to 118,707 applicants with upwards of 98% of payments sanctioned.
The number of farmers paid their ANC payment stands at 99,256 with last week’s payment of €80,890.23 bringing total payments to €248.98m. Payments have been made to in excess of 99% of applicants going on recent year’s payment figures.
Other schemes
There was also €17,426.54 paid under the 2024 Organic Farming Scheme. A total of €57.5m has now been paid to 4,760 applicants.
The payment figure is significantly higher than the €48.4m paid under the scheme in 2023 and almost five time higher than the €12.2m paid in 2022 to 2,014 participants reflecting the surge in participation and payment rates.
Just over €103,000 was paid in the 2024 National Sheep Welfare Scheme with payments now standing at €15.79m paid to 17,196 participants.
While there was also €53,567.23 paid under the Straw Incorporation Measure.
The payment of €6.64m paid to 1,629 participants in 2024 was reduced due to the introduction of the Baling Assistance Payment.
There was also in excess of €102,000 paid under this one-year scheme bringing total payments to €€3.51m paid to 1,246 participants.
