Herd manager - Co Kildare

A herd manager is required for a large calving herd in Celbridge, Co Kildare. Experience is not essential, but good communication, good work ethics and a willingness to learn are needed.

The successful candidate will be required to manage the herd and grass on a day-to-day basis on a farm with a 54-bail Waikato rotary milking shed, winter accommodation for dry period and calf accommodation for the spring period.

Other key roles of the job include structured weekly maintenance of infrastructure around the farmyard, monitoring milk quality and some rostered milkings.

Accommodation is provided with this role and a remuneration package is also offered based on previous experience.

Dairy assistant - Co Cork

Dunowen Farm Partnership near Clonakilty, Co Cork, is seeking a dairy assistant with a yearly salary of between €34,000 and €36,000.

The successful applicant will be required to work 39 hours per week and duties for the role include milking, husbandry and general maintenance.

Dairy assistant manager - Co Cork

An east Cork dairy farm with 160 cows is recruiting an assistant farm manager. The full-time position at the Fermoy farm will have a yearly salary of between €32,000 and €40,000, depending on previous experience.

A valid full driving license and a good level of English is required for the role.

Possessing skills in grass budgeting, calf rearing, milking, youngstock management and tractor driving will be a definite advantage for an applicant.
