A 400-cow farm in Co Tipperary has two dairy farm assistant roles available.

The Carrick-on-Suir-based farm is offering a salary of €34,000 per annum for a minimum 39 hours per week.

Applicants will ideally have dairy farm experience. Duties will include milking, animal husbandry, hygiene and quality management, farm maintenance and farm machinery operation.

A herd manager with strong experience is needed for a 650-cow herd on Dalswinton Estate, near Dumfries in Scotland.

The estate is currently being developed into a spring-calving grassland farm.

There are currently four members of the team in place and someone to take the lead with the farm manager is required.

The candidate will be milking 650 Jersey and Friesian cows on a new rotary parlor. Grassland management and strong animal health knowledge are essential.
