A new fungicide mix has hit the market this season for disease control in wheat, rye and triticale.

Jessico One plus Jettano is a co-pack. Jessico One contains fenpicoxamid (50g/l), while Jettano contains bixafen (100g/l) and fluopyram (100g/l).

Fenpicoxamid if the active ingredient contained in Corteva’s Inatreq fungicide, Bixafen is the SDHI contained in Bayer’s Ascra Xpro and the fungicide fluopyram is also in Ascra Xpro.

The product, which comes from Bayer Crop Science, comes in a 6ha pack and it is advised to apply 1.7l/ha of Jessico One and 1l/ha of Jettano.

The new product claims to offer excellent control of septoria and brown rust, very good control of yellow rust and also offers some control of eyespot, fusarium and mildew.

Bayer are recommending its use at the T2 fungicide timing on winter wheat. Although there may be a case for its use at the T1 timing where disease pressure is high early in the season.
