An annual June bull sale took place on Friday 13 June at Ballymena Mart, with 23 bulls presented for sale, with an average sale price of 3,200gns and 73% clearance rate achieved on the day.
The top price was paid for the November 2023-born Limousin bull, Artlone Unreal, a Plumtree Fantastic son, bred by J Arrell Randalstown, which sold for 4,950gns.
Ten Limousin bulls sold for an average of 3,400gns.
All five Aberdeen Angus bulls sold to an average of 3,480gns.
Achieving the second-highest price of the day at 4,800gns was A Scott from Ballyclare with his January 2022-born Aberdeen Angus stock bull Drumawhey Pride Y347.
One of the three Simmental bulls on offer was sold, with 4,000gns paid for a 14-month old animal from I Magill, Millisle.
