Well-known UK auction house Cheffins Auctioneers recently held a timed online machinery auction on behalf of EAF Farm Services based near Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire. The sale included one tractor and a range of forage making equipment, together totalling 16 lots.
Topping the timed sale was a 2013 Fendt 828 Vario with 7,282 hours which sold for €82,515 (£71,000) plus fees, followed by a 2015 Massey Ferguson 2270 tandem-axle square baler which sold for €63,910 (£55,000).
Meanwhile, a 2017 Massey Ferguson 2240 tandem-axle square baler sold for €45,318 (£39,000); a 2016 Bunning Lowlander MK4 150HBD muck spreader sold for €39,508 (£34,000); a 2019 Bailey TB16 tandem axle 18t silage trailer sold for €22,078 (£19,000); a 2023 Spearhead Multicut 480 Pro-Line bat-wing topper sold for €17,430 (£15,000); and a 2013 McHale 998 bale wrapper also sold for €17,430 (£15,000).
Other sale prices included a 2015 Claas Liner 2800 twin rotor trailed rake which sold for €13,944 (£12,000), a 2018 John Deere 830 trailed mower which sold for €10,690 (£9,200), a 2015 Kuhn GF8702 eight rotor mounted tedder which sold for €9,269 (£8,000) and a 2024 Teagle Super-Ted 221 mounted swath conditioner which sold for €5,229 (£4,500).
