Carnew Mart held its recent machinery auction on Tuesday 3 June, with a 2015 Massey Ferguson 5612 with a Quicke loader topping the sale, securing €46,000.

The successful retirement machinery auction took place on behalf of Eric Hall and Jim and Julie Slevin.

The auctioneers said the event drew significant attention from across the country, with over 1,000 registered bidders competing for 238 lots, resulting in a complete clearance on the day.

Quality

The auctioneer noted that the machinery on offer reflected years of careful ownership and maintenance, which was evident in both bidder turnout and final hammer prices.

They added that several key lots exceeded expectations, reflecting the continued demand for well-kept, ready-to-work machinery.

A clean example of this machinery was a New Holland TS115 with 7,850 hours sold for €25,100, followed by a tidy Kverneland 9472 twin rotor rake selling for €15,800.
