The INHFA AGM passed a motion calling on Teagasc to spend more of its budget on peer-reviewed publications on the uplands at its AGM on Thursday.

The motion proposes that Teagasc spends a minimum of 1% of its research budget to produce new publications on cattle production on the uplands.

The motion was brought forward by the Donegal county executive, which said the uplands constitutes 29% of the country’s agricultural area and over two-thirds of the land in the county.
