Total support payments for ewes have been increased to €25/ewe when combined with the €12/ewe Sheep Improvement Scheme (SIS).
Minister for Agriculture Charlie McConalogue said that the Department of Agriculture is working on preventing the disease entering the country.
The Government announced it is to continue with the Sheep Welfare Scheme and increase funding to farmers by €5/ewe.
Farmers participating in the Sheep Welfare Scheme and the Sheep Improvement Scheme will see the level of support increase from €20 to €25 per ewe in 2025.
The event will take place on Saturday 5 October and Sunday 6 October at Maam Cross Mart, Connemara.
The project area covered two special areas of conservation (SAC), the Twelve Bens and Maum Turk mountain ranges, with the scheme integrating farmers and individuals from the agricultural industry.
The sheep had been moved to Wales from eastern England, where the virus is circulating.
