In the south of the country, where many of the worst-affected areas are, there have been widespread cancellations across Munster and Leinster.

The red weather warning for wind, the highest level of caution Met Éireann can issue, is for seven western and northwestern counties.
An upgraded orange weather warning is set to begin at midnight on Wednesday 20 November and run 12 hours until noon on Thursday 21 November.
Met Éireann's outlook for the week is cold with frost and icy patches alongside wintry showers for some.
A rain warning has been issued by Met Éireann for three counties in the southeast of Leinster, with localised flooding and travel disruptions expected.
Yellow weather warnings are considered not unusual conditions. However, there is a danger to local areas where up to 50mm of rain can fall in 24 hours.
Southern counties could face heavy downpours, localised flooding and gusty winds on Sunday, Met Éireann has warned.
