A woman aged in her 60s has been killed in farm accident in Co Kerry.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and gardaí have since conducted an examination of the site.

Responding to a query from the Irish Farmers Journal, a spokesperson for an Garda Síochána said: “Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a work-related incident that occurred in Bonane, Kenmare, Co Kerry, on Tuesday 17 June 2025 at approximately 5pm.”

The coroner for Kerry has been notified and a file will be prepared for the coroner’s court.

The Health and Safety Authority was notified and is investigating the matter.
