Scots and Welsh publish new bluetongue guidance

In response to England expanding its bluetongue virus restricted zone to cover all of the country from 1 July, the Scottish and Welsh governments have changed their bluetongue virus control regulations. Livestock will require movement licences to go from England into Scotland and Wales, to be issued at the stock-keepers expense. From 20 June 2025 any susceptible ruminants going to Wales will require a specific movement licence, and valid pre-movement test. Ruminants going to Scotland will require a valid pre-movement test, or vaccination with the Boehringer Bultavo-3 vaccine for cattle.
