Ritchie Bros, the well-known worldwide auction firm, has opened its first storage yard in Ireland.
Located in Mullingar, Co Westmeath, the firm explained that this facility offers sellers a local point of access while tapping into Ritchie Bros’ network of buyers worldwide through its international auctions.
Located in Business Park Zone C, N91 EC3F, the Mullingar yard is now open for equipment drop-offs.
Machines stored in Mullingar will be included in the firm’s major auction events, held in conjunction with Ritchie Bros UK site in Maltby, without the need for cross-border transportation.
Ritchie Bros explains that it manages the entire sales process, from valuation, listing, and marketing to secure payment. It notes that sellers will have proceeds paid within 21 days of auction.
The Mullingar yard will be supported by two territory managers, Tom Walsh, with 22 years of experience at Ritchie Bros and manages Northern Ireland; and Brien Daly, who recently joined the team, with more than 20 years’ experience in the rental and auction industries. Equipment consigned in Mullingar will be sold in conjunction with the upcoming UK auctions, today 26 June, 13 and 14 August; 24 and 25 September; and 10 and 11 December.

Ritchie Bros' new site is in Mullingar.
“With our storage yard in Mullingar and Ritchie Bros’ decades of expertise in the used equipment market, we’re well equipped to support Irish businesses across the construction, agriculture, and transport sectors,” Duncan Ainscough, head of sales at Ritchie Bros, said.
