Other specification includes a 3in Pacer fast fill pump with an output of 270l/min. Tankmatic filling system, a red leather seat and 420/90 R34 Michelin Spraybib tyres.
Powering the sprayer is a 225hp John Deere six-cylinder engine and the firm’s recently introduced E-Drive four speed transmission. The E-drive features include powerful boosted braking, giving a combination of hydrostatic and dynamic braking, using the emergency brake pedal.
The machine has a road mode setting to give a fully automatic drive with the option of eco mode and/or cruise control.
When working in the field, the E-drive gives the option of manual throttle control, coupled with a stability control system that is equivalent to a fully automatic drive mode, which at any time has a manual gear selection override.
In work, the cruise control system can be used to give the optimum field working speed. In terms of controls, the machine is equipped with an Ag Leader InCommand 800 rate controller.
Berthoud’s high-end mounted duo set to impress

Murphy Machinery will showcase Berthoud's flagship mounted combination, the Heracles EVO.
Murphy Machinery, the Irish Berthoud importer, will demonstrate the brand’s Heracles Evo flagship front and rear mounted combination in the mid-spec category on the day.
Alongside this, Murphy will display a selection of sprayer models and other equipment from its Alpego and He-Va franchises.
Featuring the brand’s darker grey coloured livery, the Heracles Evo sits at the top of the brand’s mounted offerings. The setup features a 1,600l rear tank and 1,000l front tank combination, offering a total volume of 2,600l. The largest available combination totals 3,500l.
The machine will be equipped with a 24m four arm, steel boom offering six 4m GPS controlled sections. However, individual nozzle control is optionally available. The boom is balanced using its proven Axiale suspension.
The demo machine features Berthoud’s SecurMix sprayer management system which automates the full induction and mixing processes via the sprayer’s mounted terminal which communicates with the terminal inside the cab.
Regardless of how the sprayer is filled, the SecurMix system automatically balances the filling of both tanks and varies mixing intensity proportional to the volume onboard. The system also automatically controls the rinsing cycles.
The optional Continous Flow system ensures total mixing right out to the boom ends and immediate spraying at the right pressure as well as continuous filtration of the spray mixture.
Kitted out for uneven and hilly terrain, the Total Control system uses ultrasonic sensors to constantly maintain the booms’ height and variable geometries over the surface.
Teaching an old ‘GEM’ new tricks

This 24 year old Case IH GEM TS2200 which has been retrofitted with a full GPS section control kit will be working in the demo arena.
Sprayer component specialists and sprayer dealers, Clever Agri Components based in Tullow, Co Carlow will take part in the demonstration with a slightly more unique offering, a 24-year-old Case IH GEM TS2200 trailed sprayer.
The purpose of this category is to broaden the appeal of the overall demo and showcase to spectators that buying new isn’t the only solution available for those with a perfectly good older machine, or are perhaps more budget orientated but yet still want to take advantage of more accurate spraying for a fraction of the cost of a new machine.
Unlike the majority of sprayer of its era, this particular TS2200 machine equipped with a 2,200l tank has been fully retrofitted to meet modern standards and offers full GPS section control.
The demo machine originally started out life as a 20m model with four manual on/off boom sections but has now been extended to 21m and fitted with a retrofit kit from Italian manufacturer, Geoline to offer seven 3m wide GPS controlled sections.
The components involved in the retrofit include an ECU, on/off valve control unit, flow meter, pressure regulator and, in this case, seven section valves. This leaves the sprayer so that it is fully Isobus controlled using GPS via an Isobus terminal. Completing the look, the sprayer will be married up with an older classic-type tractor that has also been retrofitted with an Isobus control terminal and GPS antenna.
AI-powered spot sprayer to make Irish demo debut

Grasstec will demo the SKAI spot sprayer from SoilEssentials.
Grasstec, the newly appointed Irish distributor for the SKAi spot sprayer, will take part in each of the demonstrations throughout the day, debuting the latest spot spraying technology to arrive onto the Irish market.
The SKAi solution is a jointly developed project between Team Sprayers and Scottish company SoilEssentials.
The sprayer uses artificial intelligence to identify and precisely target individual weeds for spot spraying.
With a 15m boom width, the sprayer includes a 1,000l clean water tank and a 200l chemical tank for efficient mixing and application at speeds up to 10km/h.
Inside the cab there is a tablet-based user interface which is Cloud connected and offers remote access to technical support.
Real-time on-screen camera feeds show target weed detection and the spray control shows target areas and nozzle activation.
While the SKAi system is being tested in high value tillage crops its algorithm is currently trained for targeting docks in grassland. The SKAi spot spraying solution is also available for retrofit to other sprayer brands.
