The University of Galway will host a number of events. Written and performed by Chris Moran, The Song Collector is a hand-drawn animation that introduces children to folk music. A workshop on characterisation and improv will be delivered by theatre duo The Jess’s’s’s. The Fulbright Ireland project, ‘Yaqui and Béal: Yoeme and Irish in Conversation’, combines legends and wisdom from Native American and Irish elders.
The Grannies’ double-act will also be appearing around Galway city centre, showing off their acrobatic tricks.
This year marks the 14th run of the Galway Theatre Festival. The festival was launched in 2008 and gives a platform to theatre companies and emerging talent from around Ireland.
